Core Co-Founder Quits

12

Computer & Video Games is reporting that Core Design co-founder Jeremy Heath-Smith has stepped down from the boards of Core and Eidos. Heath-Smith was the "sacrificial lamb" blamed for the very average Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness. Of course the game not being all it could be has nothing to do with the fact that Eidos pushes out games before they are done just to please their shareholders.

Read this interview with Jeremy H. Smith and you will probably see exactly why he needed to be fired.

      On vice city:
Why is it a great game? The game itself isn't actually that good; what makes it great is the whole experience. That's why I've played it for hours and hours. Do I get my head around doing all these missions? No, that's pants, I don't care about that. Ask any GTA player and they'll tell you that.

You know I kind of agree with this statement, I don't think GTA controls very well or looks very good, but somehow it's a great game.

But the rest of the interview is pure crap, that's for sure.
