Oh there will be a few left... but face it DICE/EA... you @##@ up!! Ohh I remember before BF1942 was released how they went on and on about MOD support and how important they thought it was.
We'll too late.... the death bell tolls and the fact you made modders fight and scratch and go through all kinds of hell to figure out how to mod it... you pissed in your own nest. Oh I'm sure the short term profits from you're mini-mods RTR and SW will look good on someones spreadsheet and get some manager a fat bonus, the long term effects are catastrophe. Valve will come out with HL2 and they will SHOW YOU HOW ITS DONE.
The really popular mods like DC will stay in BF cause they want to bask in the glory. LOL... until the EA deal goes through and people have to pay for DC. Wait and see... there will be a DC mod for HL2 and that will be all she wrote for the BF version (unless Frank isn't blinded by his current success... which is doubtful... a single model render for DC earns 20 news post across every news site with 10 pics showing every angle and crowing about it).
Sorry DICE/EA ... your sept release of the SDK is too little to late. Say goodbye to at least half the mods in progress and they trade the joke that is bf1042 mod support for the fertile grounds of HL2 support. And where the mods go... the players will follow.
It grieves me to no end to see how DICE/EA screwed this up... oh well... you had your chance... just like Atari had the chance to sell Nintendo's... I'm sure DICE/EA's BF1942 will make it on the next GameSpy 'Dumbest Moments in Gaming History' list.

Worth my money. Great game that keeps evolving.... isn't that what gamers WANT?
I dont understand the cowardly anon post that bashes DICE/EA with such vigor. Apparently he sucks at the game, or is simply too selfish to spend money on good games, and is crying in the corner expecting everything to be free? There's more to games than just expecting FREE MODS! :)
