  • Mini-review from someone who has never played Wolf multiplayer and didn't care for single player:

I think it's pretty fun, a bit confusing for a bit, it's almost like there is too much stimulus from the HUD, objectives, radio messages, fire team menu, etc etc.

It does feel like you are in a war, especially with the explosions all around you on certain maps.

The weapon sounds don't really do it for me, I like em a bit more beefy. Not a big deal to me though.

The map gameplay is pretty cool, inventive objectives, interesting layouts.

    Enjoyable.

  • Quick stuff:

-The choppy animations are fixed. This was my biggest complaint (although it didn't stop me from playing), and its resolution improves the game many times over. Aiming is a joy now!

-The anti-lag system is very nice, IMO. This has to be some of the best Q3 engine netcode I've played with.

-The gun sounds have much more punch. eg. The MP40.

-Some of the voices are different than the test. Slight improvement. They'll probably grow on me as I play more.

-The new maps look pretty good. Initial impressions seem to show that they play pretty well too. Hard to tell in just an hour.

There's probably a changelog that has all this but I haven't bothered to look yet. Go download it and try it! You cannot beat FREE!
