Battlefield Vietnam?

Hm... I'm still rooting for EOD. I know at least they won't be a six-map, four-half-assed vehicles mod on sale for the price of a new game.

i dunno having an arcade based on vietnam doesn't sit with me too well, which is pretty hypocritical i guess cuz WWII was terrible and all, it's just a different war for this country...different sensitivities and all

Having nothing to do with bfv I was just thinking to myself that bf1942 should have used the serious sam engine. It looks pretty good, does large open areas, and can have lots of on the screen at one time. Is that crazy?

You're on patrol. Suddenly, enemy fire starts coming out of the bushes, just like it was then! To counter it, you and your entire team spray in the general direction of where they think the fire is coming from! No one can see anything BECAUSE IT'S A FUCKING JUNGLE.Yay! I'm personally hoping for some "ammo supplier" class, because i'm sure going to be pissed if my ability to blindly S&P at enemies who can't see me either is shortened from a lack of ammo.

And hey, maybe we can have some boobie traps too! I know that i, for one, would just LOVE to trip on a near-invisible wire and lose my legs, then either have to respawn and walk all the way back or retire and make my living on a shrimping boat. Whoo-eeee, sign me up for a beta of this one!

Yes, i know nothing is confirmed. Yes, if you like these kinds of games, knock yourself out. I'm waxing sarcastic because i just can't figure out what goes through developer's minds when they even THINK of stuff like this. Then again, maybe i'm just not into the whole "There are countless opportunities for you to die regardless of what you do. We may as well have just added in an auto-kill-after-2-minutes-of-life feature" sub-genre of FPS. If anyone would like to let me in on the secret without relying solely on the "teamplay" argument, please feel free.

I like modern warfare instead of World War II warfare. I just don't dig some of the maps in Battle Field 1942. Atlease I will get this for sure! I hope they will do some netcode optimization first then build the game :P

they need to stop making nam games the maps are all just boring to play, WW2 works because you have alot of differnt tarrian you can use(hence the title world war instead of vietnam)
