U guys I am addicted, lol. I have been playing the demo of the new Jurassic Park sims game like everyday. I cant get over the fact that u can build ur own Jurassic Park. Can't the game just come out already?? The end of the month is not getting here fast enough!!!

I decided to order a RatPadzGS because of Haiku's badass banner ad (and I needed a new mousepad). For 10$ (15$ w/ shipping) it's a pretty sweet deal. Hard, textured, plastic surface. Grips well, doesn't move around the desk, and it's pretty big (6" by 10" maybe?). Godo stuff. Thanks Haiku, I don't feel ripped off or anything.

A few kernals of info gleaned from GeorgeB's posts on the 3DRealms forums.

There was a bug in the game yesterday where if you opened a door it woulc close, but you couldn't open it again, but it would jiggle and keey playing the open sound. So you ran through a map, progressing through some doors, and you just heard all this haunted door opening sounds, and saw doors jiggling at the hinges. Then while you were watching the doors, wondering what was wrong, an Octabrain would jump out and eat you.
There ya go...a tiny slice of our day, and one of the countless weird bugs that pops up

We're leaving the super large, landscape and sprawling terrain to other games. There are more than enough games doing that kind of thing.
Just so you know what to expect.

The glass is cool and does "stuff".

My mom rules. Using her car, I drive my mom to the grocery store today so she can do a bit of shopping. I'm waiting outside for her to finish and she comes back with a coffee and a few things. She hands me the coffee and I pop out the drink tray on the console and put the drink in it. She looks at it and says, "I never even knew that was there." She's had the car for nearly 8 years. I was here (I think) a couple of days ago and saw this
great parody of an Apple Switch ad.. The person they
are making fun of is Patrick Grant. Basically he was
commenting that apple never blue screens but the parody
had him repeating himself and then they would show the

I went out and bought a pair of Chuck Taylors and Etnies (http://www.etnies.com/skate/footwear/callicut/?id=2).. Anyway, my Etnies came in two different sizes. The one I tried on was a 10 and a half, the other one that was in the box was a 9. Never had this happen before.

Well it's done..I have installed XP after using 98 since it's release. Just finished my last test (BF42).

- dozens of 98 annoyances gone
- applications run faster wow
- integrated PPPoE, vid edit etc.
- resources seem to be allocated/used better for individual apps ( no more choppy IE when watching TV with Dscaler..finally)
- just about everything works! only thing I lost was my 10 year old Plustek scanner..new gift for the bro in law.

My only complaint is BF42. It looks like crap when I'm in a fast moving vehicle (plane) or when I look around fast...almost like it needs a "smooth mouse" option to clean it up (not unlike Q3A). I'm guessing it's probably an option somewhere. Some of my sounds seem "muffled" or are much too quiet while others sound fine.

The whole OS has a really nice "feel" to it...I have been missing out it seems. Thanks all for the input earlier.

which distro have you found to be the most versatile, least difficult to maintain, least difficult to update, yet still give the user a decent level of power?

Now, I know linux, *very* well mind you (I was the sys-admin of a pure linux webhost). So I'm no newbie. However, I don't want some bloatware that'll hold my hand through every fucking step, or act like it's windows when it's really linux ... I just want something nice and middle-of-the-road. I haven't really used linux on a desktop for over a year now sooooo ..

Got a new heatsink fan combo and curious to know if it's better to change heatsinks while the heatsink is still warm or not. Pretty sure that if I shut my PC down now it's best to replace it right away. :)
