Late Night Consoling

I continue to make my way through Vice City...I'm enjoying it quite a bit. Yes, it differs only slightly from its predecessor, but I like the changes, and am enjoying this game much more than the last one. That's due largely I think to the variety of the missions, and the fact that they don't seem to be quite as frustrating as GTA3's. But regardless, I'm enjoying myself, and might actually finish the game (something I never managed to do with the last one).

PS2

In other Xeno-news, Namco has announced that the game will be released here in America on February 25, 2003, and a new gameplay movie can be found at PS2.IGN.

GameBoy Advance Sega Arcade Gallery Announced

GameCube Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles
New details from Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, the GameCube debut of the FF series, can be found at Cube.IGN tonight. This all comes from the latest issue of the Japanese magazine Famitsu, and IGN also has some scanned in screenshots (although being scanned, the quality isn't spectacular).
PS2 Final Fantasy X-2 Shots
Lots of new shots from Final Fantasy X-2, the other officially announced game in the series, are up at GameSpot.
GameCube Zelda Sells in Japan
This shouldn't come as any surprise, but The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker is selling really well in Japan. Specifically, it moved 400,000 copies in its first week of release.

PS2 Xbox

Two Towers Release Date
EA has updated their official Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers site with a countdown clock to the release of the GameCube and Xbox versions of the game (thanks PlanetXbox). If you don't want to do the math, the games come out on December 30th.
GameCube

GameCube F-Zero Soon?
Citing "sources," Cube.IGN is reporting that a playable version of Sega's F-Zero GameCube and arcade racer will appear in a fully playable form at the World Hobby Fair next month.

PS2 The Sims Gold
Yes, console gamers will finally know the joy of simslish...the PS2 port of the phenomenally successful The Sims has gone gold. Look for it to hit store shelves on January 14th.
PS2 Xbox Wolfenstein Shots
GameSpot has some new shots from Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Operation Resurrection, the PS2 port of the game, as well as new shots from Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Tides of War, the Xbox port.

Console Game of the Evening: Bubble Bobble for the NES. Definitely a little on the weird side, but a lot of fun, and it paved the way for the many, many, many Bust-a-Move games that came later (and continue to this day).
