If you even ask this question, it's pretty clear you don't understand what Quakecon is, or why people love it so much. It's free. It's done by volunteers. No one wants your money. There are no profits involved, anywhere. Everyone has fun. Quakecon isn't about *anybody* making money.
Most of the staff have done this several years now. New staffers usually return. There's a reason for that. A large percentage of the people who attend, come back year after year. There's a reason for that too. Some folks have so much fun, they decide to give something back.
