Version 1.5 of the Threewave CTF mod for Quake 3 has been released. It has eight new levels, 3 additional gamemodes and more. The upgrade over version 1.2 is 55mb. A 180mb full download will be available later.

It's too bad it had to be released this late. Usually though when something is fun it doesn't matter how late it gets released in order for people to play it. I'm sure the main reason quake lost it's crowd is due to it not being friendly to newbies. If you suck, you won't like people mopping the floor with your ass. I'm sure they don't want to spend the time to get better at it either, they just save up for their AWP, sit in a corner and shoot people that pop thier heads out from hiding.

The big problem with Q3 was that it did not live up to it's hype generated from pre release screenshots. People couldn't shut up about curved surfaces, sure they looked pretty but you get in the game and it's all eye candy and no content.

3wave did own, but then like every other game, masses of people started playing it who are better then I am. Its really too bad.

The only was I can compensate is to make my own games, and continually change them to stay ahead of everyone.
