Ubi Soft today officially announced their plans to release games based on Tom Clancy's Sum Of All Fears. The game is based on the movie which is being released next month as well as the original Tom Clancy novel. In the U.S., the Sum of All Fears game will be released in May while Europeans will have to wait until fall. Console versions of the game will be released as well. Usually games based on movies are pretty bad, but with the Ghost Recon engine and Rainbow Six-like gameplay, who knows.

The Sum Of All Fears games will be based on events from both Tom Clancy's novel and Paramount Pictures' movie, immersing players in the middle of a high-stakes adventure as members of an FBI elite hostage rescue team reassigned to track down the conspirators of a major plot against the United States.
