Has anyone noticed that frame rate is lower than the previous version? At times, I would get 60 to 80 fps instead of the constant 120 fps I was getting before with my Athlon 1600 + GeForce 3 vid card..

Kretz has put a fix on our forums for All Seeing Eye. THis allows you to now view Beta2 servers. Just do the following.

Create a new Filter under Filter/new. Then add the following into the big box beloew.

1 if gamename ~== "Q3F2" goto 3
2 remove

Your all set now to view Beta2 servers in All Seeing Eye. Thanks for the fix kretz!

In my always bias opinion towards anything fortress realted... I'm happy with Q3F2.

They did put a hell of a lot of effort into it, and it looks professional for a reason. Many professionals worked on it, guys who worked with companies like valve, ritual, raven (their animator did the model anims for rtcw and jk2).

Anyway, as long as it took, it is not without a few bummer problems that will surely be fixed very soon. After the first patch and map pack adding lots more maps... I'd say Q3F2 is, in my bias opinion, the most deserving mod of a large community since CS.

I gotta say, this is probably the most high-quality mod I've ever seen. Everything about it says "proffesional". The Picture-in-Picture for the Engineer is really f'in cool... and so is the little pop-up screen for the Supply Depot.

Definately, DEFINATELY, check this mod out.

Q3F servers are configured by defaults to have cheats on. Gotta turn that off by yourself, admins. :(

Yeah i played this last night on some of the first west coast servers that were upgraded.. really fun. highly recommend to new and old alike. after receiving a bit of coaching from a hardened veteran, our 90% newbie team (as we said ourselves) were able to come back from down 5 caps to tie it. the community likes the game and helps people - i'd give it a chance, even if it means asking for a q3 key again in irc (since you lost the F'ing cd case, like i did)

wew, I never tryed beta 1 of this but gave this a wirl. Great stuff, playing as a sniper on well brings back so many fond memories from the QWTF days. Realy captures the feel of classic TF much better than TFC.

awesome, they finally released it! previous versions had prooved my favorite mod for quake 3, this new one apparently offers a lot more.

i was going to buy dungeon seige today, but i dunno now! (clanbraveheart link is pretty slow however, along with the auto installer choices)
