According to a press release on Gamespy Daily, Mythic is doing nicely with their MMORPG Dark Age of Camelot. Since its launch in October over 200,000 copies have sold to customers. According to Mythic this places the game behind Ultima Online and Everquest, but in front of others like Asheron's Call.

DAOC is a nice game....but to me, who likes to solo alot, it just isnt as fun as AC. You are almost forced to group in DAOC to fight effectively. The graphics in DAOC are much better, but graphics arent everything I'm afraid. Also there just isn't enough unique stuff to get (AKA phat loot) and I hate how you have to hunt the perfect level monster to get exp w/o death. In AC I can hunt a wide variety of creatures and still do ok on experience. Not to mention Dereth is alot bigger place than DAOC's realms are.

Just wish AC would get rid of the damn macroers (you know who you are and you suck ass) especially the combat macros.
