I have a $400 kenwood dolby digital/dts reciever , along with a $250 panasonic progressive dvd player, and $750 infinity 5.1 speaker setup. Will the Xbox or PS2 make this system complete?

I actually played the X-Box yesterday... demo of A.Oddesy (sp)...
It was like, a dreamcast game, only the level was a lot larger.

Don't get me wrong, it WAS just a single training level, but nothing really kicked
me in the sack and yelled "THIS IS THE FUTURE!"

The most SURPRISING thing about the console (at least from this demo disk) happens to be the LOAD TIMES! I was so shocked that a console with an DVD drive and 8.0 HD couldn't eliminate load times. (Swapping technique or something) Now I read on IGN (iirc) that some titles had absolutely ZERO load time, and hopefully that is the case... but from what I can tell by sitting down with the demo disk a while, the load times are extremely horrible thus far.

It was just a demo disk though, right? (I keep telling myself this over and over)

Side Note: The controller is still a fucking monstrosity. Just so you know :)

Not to troll or be biased, but the more I hear about the Xbox, the more I'm convinced it will suck. >$400 just for the box itself, with what, *maybe* 3 playable release games? Not "groundbreaking games". Just playably fun games-- at most 3. Granted Ps2 only had 2 good games at release (SSX and Madden), but Ps2 also got released a year earlier and now there are a ton of excellent Ps2 games. Well, at least 10 or 15 of them anyway.

I'll hold final judgement until it is actually released, but I'm expecting a real goatse.cx pile.

Siliwood isn't a new term... Don't you remember those guys... Rocket Science? And that really crappy game "The (something or other) or Tulle Bodein" Or something like that? They made the cover of wired. Knew nothing about game design, but somehow had everyone chanting their praises while they took the money and ran.
