3D Realms and Remedy have released a new patch for Max Payne, bringing the 3rd person shooter up to version 1.02. The 6.1mb download includes the stability fixes from 1.01 and fixes the following: "The clock and other desktop icons are no longer randomly flashing during the game.". You can grab the patch from 3D Realms, Shack or Blues News.

I hope this is the patch that fixes that god-awful slow-down problem! I would be in the middle of some action and BOOM! the CPU would grind to a crawl and all the action would slow down like I was in a movie or something. SO ANNOYING! sarcasm complete
