A little while back we posted that VIA had counter-sued Intel in response to the initial scuffle over their new P4 chipset. Well now VIA is gettin nasty.. they have filed another suit which is actually demanding the halt of production on the P4.

AMD and Intel got into a very similar fight back in the early 90s, around 1992, when AMD was doing basically unauthorized knock off of 386's (remember the 386 40 Mhz when Intel was only selling 33 Mhz?). It ended in a cross license agreement. I think this is a bunch of posturing to get to the same spot.
