As expected Intel vs VIA has gone to the courts. Intel is filing suit againt the VIA guys for their recently released P4 chipset that allows DDR memory to work with the CPU. An interesting note is that Intel sued Cyrix 4 times for all kinds of things, and never won.

Intel wouldn't need to sue anyone if they would have picked DDR instead of RAMBUS. They are moving with the suit because they know Via's board will steal customers from their technology and their RAMBUS investment.

The mistake was on Intel, not VIA.
