Counter-Strike v1.3 Stuff

65
As was mentioned late last night, the Counter-Strike v1.3 release is just around the corner. Along with the list of changes comes this nifty new map, de_torn. (You know.. like war torn and stuff?) I goofed and missed on the multiplayer test that went down the other night, but did manage to snap off a few bad screenshots you can look at and ponder.

For people who have difficulties looking past that date bar, here's a few of the more significant changes that have been released:

- Multicast spectator added.
- Voice communication added
- Radio commands can be heard by nearby enemies.
- Bunny hopping removed.
- Fixed client-side shots not matching the server-side counterparts.
- Fixed hitbox issues.

Graphics dont make games. Gameplay makes games.

yes...then why can't one have both. CS is fun...so why can't it look better as well?

but its 2001...I don't want ot play games that look like they could be from a N64 or a Voodoo 1

That doesn't explain why CS is popular among 9 year olds but not among people who've played FPSs since DOOM. Apparently easy of of ch34ts and h4x make games popular. Or at least, getting the feeling that you can win without working for it makes games popular.

People don't play CS to go 'ooh-aah' over the graphics. Are you really that superficial? Besides, the graphics are definitely at an average, to good, level for today's games. Shells pop out of guns, muzzle flashes look great, and if an artist works hard on a texture, it'll look decent.

You're a silly little troll. Please return to your cave now. Thanks!
