Intel and AMD Price Cuts

Tech stock market woes or not, Intel and AMD are still cutting the prices on their processors as seen on The Register and The Inquirer. Intel will have more, major, price cuts at the end of the month but still chopped some prices by some 19%.

I was under the impression that they were cutting prices to try to drive up business, which is not so hot right now.

So it's not in spite of the bad economy, but because of it.
