TRIBES2 & CD's

1
It seems a number of people have been returning their copies of TRIBES2, so much in fact that the next update of TRIBES2 is going to require that you have your CD in your drive now. Here is word from Dynamix thanks to Tribalwar

As you may have noticed, Tribes 2 doesn't currently require the CD to be in the drive in order to play on-line, but it *does* require it to be there for Training missions and LAN play. Due to retailer pressure, we're going to have to start requiring the CD check even when playing on-line as of the patch mid-next week. I know that's a tad annoying for y'all...but quite honestly...we were having a bunch of people buying the game, installing it, and then returning it to the store because they could "play for free" thereafter. [snip]

This also raises an interesting question, what do you do with all those copies that got returned but someone has the CDKey now?
