What Doom Needs

That's better than expecting it to be the second coming of Christ like a lot of peeps will. I think people should just be more realistic in their expectations so they don't set themselves up for a big disappointment. I'm expecting a good fun game. Nothing more. If it does turn out to be the second coming though, well, bonus. :)

Actually, despite their crap Q3 products, I rather feel bad for id having to design Doom 3 with the whole bloody game industry looking over their shoulder. Can you imagine having Rich "Zdim" Carlson going around websites explaining how your game has to draw on the lessons of the movie "Jaws" and fretting into his hankie, "Artistically, I'm worried about how Doom 3 will look." If I were id, artistically speaking, I'd be worried about how you'd look with my foot up your ass.
