CNet (now with big-ass Flash ads) is reporting on an Intel price slashing this weekend, with cuts of more than 40% on some of their desktop CPUs and more than 30% for some of the mobile CPUs. A 1Ghz Pentium3 will be $268 instead of $465, 933mhz P3 $241. A 1.5 Ghz P4 will be $644, the 1.4Ghz $440. Celeron 766 will now be 112 dollars instead of 170, and the 733mhz version will cost $88.
