Intel Price Cuts
by Maarten Goldstein, Jan 24, 2001 10:07am PSTCNet (now with big-ass Flash ads) is reporting on an Intel price slashing this weekend, with cuts of more than 40% on some of their desktop CPUs and more than 30% for some of the mobile CPUs. A 1Ghz Pentium3 will be $268 instead of $465, 933mhz P3 $241. A 1.5 Ghz P4 will be $644, the 1.4Ghz $440. Celeron 766 will now be 112 dollars instead of 170, and the 733mhz version will cost $88. If you're interested in the mobile prices, read the article. AMD remains cheaper, but the gap between them and Intel isn't as wide anymore.

Anybody want to buy a lightly used P3-800 that does 960MHz?

All Flash-tainted websites all look and sound the same. Only thing different is the logo and colour scheme.
"Ohh look, our logo shrinks nicely into the corner!"
And it would drive me nuts if I didn't have high speed access.

Bah. I give flash an upraised middle finger.
You know what I like to do? I right-click the flash ads, set them to low quality, then take a screenshot. I then e-mail that screenshot to the webmaster asking "WHY DEOS THIS LOOK SO BAD?? YUOR WEB PAGE IS SO UGLY!!".
