Well the XBox has been unveiled and now its time for everyone to ponder what the heck this all means. Here's a bunch of coverage of the event from around the web to check out: ZDNet , CNET , IGN , MSXBox , GameSpot , DailyRadar , NRGaming , GG8 , XGR , and Gamersuplink. In addition I updated the screens released of a couple of the titles below:

  • I was thinking about the power of the X-Box and the Gamecube and something just occured to me.

There was an argument in another thread a while ago where a Nintendo Gamecube fan was going off on how superior the Gamecube was because the Gamecube can do 8 textures in a single pass, whereas the X-Box/NV20 can only do 4.

Now while it's true that NV20 can only do 4 textures per pass, NV20 will also have NSR that does 7 per pixel operations in each pass. Now correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't that effectively be the equivalent of 11 textures per pass?
