Dreamcast Powerup?

by Steve Gibson, Dec 01, 2000 1:52pm PST

Ah yes, some speculation for the Dreamcast. According to consoleparty and a few other Dreamcast fan pages, there are hints around the Sega camp of a possible upgrade for the Dreamcast video system. Much like the 32X system was for the old Sega Genesis.

The card would bring the DC hardware to an amazing 256 bits using the new NAOMI 2 technology. Other sources mention that the card will be priced at under $100

    Yo man, FYI

    Who: Exchange Mail Users

What: DIS was informed last night by our e-mail virus scanning vendor, Sybari Software, of the following high risk E-mail borne virus. DIS has taken the vendor's suggest precautions on the State E-mail system.

System administrators may wish to check with your e-mail and desktop virus scanning vendors for their recommendations.

    Virus Name: SHOCKWAVE.A Trojan

    Alias: TROJ_SHOCKWAVE.A
    NEW BACKDOOR

E-mail Subject: "A Great Shockwave Flash Movie"

E-mail Body: "Check out his new flash movie that I download just now...It's Great"

    E-mail Attachments: CREATIVE.EXE

    When: Currently circulating

Effect: This is a internet worm that leverages MAPI to send itself as an attachment
to all addresses found in a Microsoft Outlook address book.

When executing "CREATIVE.EXE" it will copy itself into :
    C:\CREATIVE.EXE

Also in the Windows Startup as CREATIVE.EXE.

It will also create a file Messageforu.txt, which shows all the
    modifications done by CREATIVE.EXE.

The Execution of CREATIVE.EXE will search of JPG and ZIP files on the local
system and them to the system root directory. They are then renamed to
contain "Change atleast now to LINUX".

You can rename the name of the file since these renamed files are not
damaged. Their original locations are found in the Messageforu.txt.

The Messageforu.txt will also contain the following:

Hi, guess you have got the message. I have kept a list of files that I have
infected under this. If you are smart enough just reverse back the process.
i could have done far better damage, i could have even completely wiped
your harddisk. Remember this is a warning & get it sound and clear... - The
