There’s no doubt that Black Friday is by far the more popular shopping day, but don’t count out Cyber Monday as a fantastic opportunity to score deals that you perhaps missed out on. The two days are close together and, truthfully, the deals will likely overlap with companies offering up the same discounts but with different branding.
When is Cyber Monday 2017?
Cyber Monday follows Black Friday each year. This year, Cyber Monday will be on Monday, November 27, 2017. While the original idea was for one day of crazy deals, Cyber Monday and Black Friday are now close to a two-week event when you put them together. Retailers will have Black Friday sales that lead up to the actual day, and some will have Cyber Monday deals that extend for several days after it should be over.
What is Cyber Monday?
Cyber Monday was a response to Black Friday, which started out as a day when people would physically visit retail stores for great deals. Now, though, Black Friday has a huge footprint when it comes to online shopping, so Black Friday and Cyber Monday are quickly becoming the same thing but with a different name. What we call them is meaningless. It’s just a way for retailers to take more of your money. Well, our money, because we’ll definitely be participating.
What Can I Buy on Cyber Monday?
It would be shorter to ask for a list of what you can’t buy. Truthfully, you can likely buy anything that you want so long as it’s offered by major retailers. If you shop at Walmart, BestBuy, Target, GameStop, Amazon, or dozens of others, you can buy pretty much anything they sell.
