San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) is the biggest of all the Comic-Cons, and it’s just around the corner. It’s a time for comic, movie and science-fiction fans to gather and celebrate the popular arts that they love the most. In recent years, attendance has topped 130,000, but most people are only able to catch the panels online, not in person. This has many fans heading into the weekend wondering, “When exactly is SDCC 2017?”

When is SDCC 2017?

SDCC will run from Thursday, July 20, 2017 until Sunday, July 23, 2017. For the 4-Day with Preview Night badge holders, there is also a preview night on Wednesday July 29, 2017. This particular event is also open to the press.

Check below for a full list of dates and times that you can catch SDCC 2017:

  • July 19 - Preview Night: 6 p.m. PDT to 9 p.m. PDT
  • July 20 - July 22: 9:30 a.m. PDT to 7 p.m. PDT
  • July 23: 9:30 a.m. PDT to 5 p.m. PDT

If you’re planning to attend the event in person, San Diego Comic-Con is located at 111 W. Harbor Dr., San Diego, California. Appropriately enough, it’s in the San Diego Convention Center.

Those wanting to watch panels online are going to have a tougher go of it. There aren’t really any official channels that host each panel, so you’re stuck having to navigate through live streams and YouTube videos based on what you feel like watching. The best place to start is the official Comic-Con Twitter account, which is likely to tweet out links to watch panels as they’re going live.

You should also consider following Shacknews’ Video Editor, Greg Burke, who will be attending the event in person and can always be counted on for his on-point selfie game. Follow Greg Burke on Twitter.

Of course, there are more panels at SDCC than one person can watch, so you’re going to have to pick and choose carefully. The best place to start there is the SDCC 2017 event schedule.
