The Destiny 2 beta is inching closer, and Guardians across the globe are struggling to figure out when the Destiny 2 PS4 and Xbox One betas start in their time zone. Part of this is because today is the first day that you can download the Destiny 2 beta and pre-load it, and gamers have no doubt misunderstood this to mean the beta starts today. It does not.

Destiny 2 PS4 and Xbox One Beta Start Times

Depending on the console that you’re playing on and the time zone that you live in, the start time for the Destiny 2 early access and open betas varies. For example, PS4 players get first crack at the early access beta, and will have a full 24 hours to enjoy it before their Xbox One counterparts are able to join. Not as rough as it is on PC players, though, who must wait until sometime in August for their beta.

Beta Platform/Type Beta Start Date Beta End Date EDT CDT PDT

Xbox One Early Access July 19, 2017 July 20, 2017 1 p.m. 12 p.m. 10 a.m.
PS4/Xbox One Open Beta July 21, 2017 July 23, 2017 1 p.m. 12 p.m. 10 a.m.
PC Beta TBD TBD TBD TBD TBD

The table above shows you the start times for the beta as far as most people in North America are concerned, but there are other countries and time zones looking to get in on the action. If your time zone isn’t listed, you can convert those time zones to see exactly when the betas begin in your region.

Of course, you can’t start a beta if you aren’t in one, and many players are currently wondering how to download the Destiny 2 beta.

If you still need help with the Destiny 2 beta, visit Bungie’s Destiny 2 beta FAQ and see if they have an answer to your question. That would also be the place to look for support if you’re having technical difficulties with any steps of this process.
