GG, Greg! The Elder Scrolls Online: Review

Greg Burke is back with a brand new show!

4

Welcome to GG, Greg! This show will focus on one game that I personally enjoy. I will take a look at the pros and cons of the game and provide a summary of why I enjoy playing it. I take a look at The Elder Scrolls Online on this premiere episode. The game did not impress me at all at launch, but with some patches and DLC like the recent Morrowind expansion the game has really improved. Check out this video to find out more about why I think The Elder Scrolls Online is a good game.

Good review, echoes my thoughts pretty closely. I was going hard on the Morrowind expansion until that stupid F13 game came out and consumed me.

      Hey Greg!

Great review man, seriously. I really like the formula you've created for GG, Greg!.

You are right... ESO isn't nearly as bad as it was at launch, but the game still has quite a few glaring issues. The atrocious UI is one of those issues. I noticed you didn't mention it at all in your video, does it not affect you? Are you just one of those "all MMO UIs are bad so I accept it" type people? Just genuinely curious!

Also, you mention the "MASSIVE OPEN WORLD" as a plus for the game, but you didn't really mention that many of these areas in the original portions of the game still feel pretty empty. Thankfully Morrowind isn't that way, and ZenimaxBethesda seem to have really stepped up the ball this time around (read as "actually chose to give a fuck), but it's still an issue if you plan to play through the original content at some point as well.

Not trying to start a big hubbub or call you out or anything. Just genuinely curious how you feel about those things. Anyway, I just started work on a Warden hearler, so maybe we can party up or something sometime. I just might throw a few heals your way ;).

There were people running around. Never felt empty. Lost of NPCS and such. I was playing Xbox One. Maybe that's the difference?

I Think MMOS are tailored to a type of gamer, much like Fighting Games or JRPGS.

I too rather disliked the game when it first launched. I shall reinstall it to see if it has changed much.

As much as I want to enjoy the game, the item limitations and several other small issues just kill it for me. Every time I play it, it simply reminds me how much more I personally enjoy final fantasy xiv
