Resident Evil Village demo comes to PlayStation, Xbox, PC, and Stadia this May

As we lead up to the release of Resident Evil Village, fans are excited for the opportunity to finally get their hands on the horror survival game. Fans will get the chance to jump in and experience the game soon in a new demo, as revealed at the Resident Evil Showcase.

Resident Evil Village got a very brief technical demo earlier this year exclusively to the PS5. The latest demo, as revealed in the Resident Evil Showcase, will not only pack much more content, it will be available on every platform that the game is coming to. This includes PlayStation, Xbox, PC, and Stadia.

The new Resident Evil Village demo is timed, allowing players to experience 60 minutes of the game. Players will get the opportunity to explore both the castle and the village, the two primary locations in the upcoming horror game. You can choose to allocate all of your time to one location, or split it between the two.

Players on PlayStation will enjoy the perk of getting to play the new demo before other platforms. Titled “8 Hours in Village,” PS4 and PS5 players will be allotted 30 minutes of play time every week, beginning on April 17 and running until the game’s launch. PlayStation players can also log on and pre-download the demo today. Those on other systems will need to wait until the demo actually releases.

Resident Evil Village launches on May 7 for Xbox, PlayStation, and PC. We’ve got more news out of the Resident Evil Showcase for you here on Shacknews.
