Tomorrow's Answer god roll - Destiny 2

Published , by Sam Chandler

Tomorrow’s Answer has been a Trials of Osiris weapon for a while now, but the latest Season of Destiny 2 has introduced a new god roll. Players that work their way through a few matches of Trials can walk away with one of these beauties, but knowing whether or not you have a Tomorrow’s Answer god roll is going to be important. The Rocket Launcher has a few great perks and the right combo could make you a boss-DPSing machine.

Destiny 2’s Season of the Chosen changed things up for Rocket Launchers. The Season boosted Rocket Launcher damage, which means they’re significantly more effective in PVE content when facing down bosses. For Tomorrow’s Answer, it has a few different perks that work quite well together, whether you’re aiming for add clear, boss damage, or even wanting to take it into Crucible.

The Tomorrow's Answer in collections isn't a god roll, but it will get the job done.

As far as stats go, when it comes to Rocket Launchers it doesn’t matter too much, unless you’re hyper concerned about Velocity or Stability. In saying this, the one stat you might want to concern yourself with is Blast Radius. Altering this stat means you can spread out your damage or focus it on a single target.

Tomorrow’s Answer god roll for PVE

A Tomorrow’s Answer god roll for PVE might look a bit different depending on what you want to use it for. Clearing waves of enemies is certainly a good idea but so is boss damage. For this reason, there are two main groups of perks I’d personally recommend.

For clearing waves and groups of lowly enemies, keep an eye out for the following:

Linear Compensator is a nice all-rounder barrel perk. This one increases Stability, Velocity, and Blast Radius by 5 points a piece. While Volatile Launch gives the Blast Radius a boost by 15, Light.gg has Tomorrow’s Answer’s Blast Radius sitting at 95 already, so you’re just taking a hit to the other stats for no reason.

Ambitious Assassin is pretty easy to proc, especially with Cluster Bomb. Ambitious Assassins overflows the magazine based on the number of rapid kills you get before reloading. It’s a Rocket Launcher so you should be getting more than one when using it against waves of enemies. This will boost the rounds to two. It’s not huge, but it will help steamroll your next killing spree.

Now, Tomorrow’s Answer really shines when it comes to boss damage. This is thanks to a couple of perks.

Impact Casing is the Magazine perk you want to aim for. This increases damage on direct hits. Then Lasting Impression makes it so rockets attach on impact and detonate shortly after, increasing blast radius and damage. Throw on the Argent Ordnance mod (While Charged with Light, readying or firing a Rocket Launcher grants it increased damage and reload speed) and you’ll have yourself quite the boom tube.

For the second last perk, Tracking Module ensures you won’t miss your shot on a boss but you could go for Auto-Loading Holster if you don’t want to waste time reloading or Impulse Amplifier, which increases velocity and reload speed.

If, for some reason, you want to go using a Rocket Launcher like Tomorrow’s Answer in Crucible, you’re going to need some specific perks to help you. This RL suffers from a sluggish Velocity, which means skilled players will be able to dodge out of the way. Attack this weak point by focusing on perks that increase this stat.

Quick Launch and High-Velocity Rounds are all about keeping that Handling stat high while also giving you a healthy bump in rocket speed. Tracking Module will seek out your enemies (but you will need to spend precious seconds aiming at them) and Cluster Bomb will clear up grouping enemies or at least soften them up.

Realistically, you likely aren’t using a Rocket Launcher in Crucible and if you are it’s probably The Wardcliff Coil not this Trials of Osiris weapon.

Tomorrow’s Answer is a pretty great Rocket Launcher from Trials of Osiris. Getting a god roll Tomorrow’s Answer will require a bit of luck and a lot of Trials matches, so hang in there.
