Ikumi Nakamura and Hideki Kamiya tease new Okami game

Looking forward to playing more Okami? Good, because it looks like Platinum Games' Hideki Kamiya and ex-Ghostwire Tokyo director Ikumi Nakamura want to make it.

The pair previously worked on the original Okami together, so it's not much of a shock to hear that they might want to work together again.

"Okami is going to be back! We want to make Okami sequel and fans are looking forward to it too. You guys want to see Kamiya’s Okami again, right, everyone? I want to work on it too!" wrote Nakamura, who shared a quick video clip of herself with Hideki Kamiya.

We haven't heard much out of Okami (save for the DS Okamiden and Okami HD update) for quite some time. It's definitely a game that should get more love, and seeing a sequel or some sort of new installment would be great news for fans.

"I want to see simply great games and games that gamers want to play be developed. I don’t understand budgets and politics. 🤔 I just want to continue to be a creator that can say that great things are great. #Okami is one of those that have the power to overcome all of that.☺️," Nakamura shared of her desire to create games.

Of course, just because this clip exists, that doesn't mean we're going to be seeing a sequel for sure. But the interest is there, and that's the most important part.

Hopefully Kamiya and Nakamura are putting together some sort of action plan so we could be playing more Okami in the coming months. Make sure to tell them in responses to that tweet that, yes, Okami is something you do want more of!
