Rockstar Games Launcher is out now on PC

Rockstar has debuted a new PC gaming launcher today in the form of the Rockstar Games Launcher.

The new desktop application will allow you to jump into your Rockstar Games PC collection in one place, which will collect all of your digital and disc-based titles. This includes all Rockstar Games purchased outside of the Rockstar Games Launcher as well. If there are still games you don't have, you can buy them right from within the app, too.

In addition, the launcher will allow you to organize cloud saves, get automatic updates to your games, and get all the latest Rockstar news right from inside the program. It will also feature 2-step verification for further security. Further, there will be special "Add-Ons," with secure payment options throughout various regions. If you register now, for a limited time you can add a free copy of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas on PC to your Social Club account permanently.

The launcher will support:

Note that you'll need to log into the launcher with your Rockstar Games Social Account, but it will support multiple profiles at once in the event you have a few or share your PC with others.

Given that the launcher only currently supports seven games, it seems like this could indeed be the catalyst for the release of Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC, or potentially a pack of the two games, if we had to guess. Perhaps we should buckle down for another big announcement coming down the pipeline soon enough. Otherwise, it seems a bit odd that Rockstar would create a special launcher for less than ten games supported at the onset.

You can download the Rockstar Games Launcher for free now if you're so inclined. Be sure to do so if you want to snag your free copy of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. Then let us know how it's treating you as you count all the different launchers you currently have installed on your gaming PC.
