There's plenty to say about Devil May Cry 5, a legitimate Game of the Year candidate, hitting the Xbox Games Pass service less than six months after its release. We go more into detail on this development in a separate post, so let's focus on Age of Empires and Stellaris. Age of Empires collects the classic RTS game with full-blown 4K resolution and 8-player battles. Kingdom Come: Deliverance

Here are the games set to release on Xbox Game Pass this Thursday, August 22:

Ape Out might eventually get squeezed out of GOTY considerations, but it is an excellent indie effort from designer Gabe Cuzzillo and the mad geniuses at Devolver Digital. For those unfamiliar, this is the top-down game that sees a gorilla attempting to escape captivity from a zoo, amidst a sea of neon colors and jazz music.

Meanwhile, Kingdom Come: Deliverance was in heavy GOTY consideration throughout 2018, a story-heavy RPG that takes players through the Roman Empire. If you pick this up, you'll probably need our guide and walkthrough.

The Bard's Tale IV: Director's Cut

Here's what's coming to Xbox Game Pass next Tuesday, August 27:

This update to the original Bard's Tale IV has been in the works from the team at inXile Entertainment throughout the year. It hasn't been released just yet, but it will be available on Xbox Game Pass on day one.

Like Devil May Cry 5, we have plenty to say about this and we'll go into it in a separate post.
