Ever since the introduction of the Menagerie and the Chalice of Opulence, players have been busy trying to craft their own weapons and armor. This starts with figuring out what weapons are worth having, and then what rolls are ideal. Well, one of the weapons worth getting from the Season of Opulence is the Imperial Decree Kinetic Shotgun. In order to craft it, though, players will have to how to get Blue Runes in Destiny 2.
The path to getting Blue Runes in Destiny 2 is via the Chalice of Opulence unlocks. Players will need to focus on the upgrades across the bottom of the cup once it’s opened, and specifically the section focused on Run Compatibility. In order to get Blue Runes in Destiny 2, players will need to unlock Run Compatibility 3, the final upgrade in that section. This upgrade will cost players 6,000 Imperials, and they must have both Rune Compatibility 1 and Rune Compatibility 2 unlocked.
Once Rune Compatibility 3 is unlocked, players can then start earning Blue Runes, which will be done in many activities across the Destiny universe, including Strikes, Crucible matches, Gambit matches, runs in the Menagerie, and more. Blue Runes can even be unlocked by opening the chests aboard the Cabal ship where Werner 99-40 is hanging out.
In total there are three Blue Runes, and they are as follows:
When inserted into Slot 1 of the Chalice Opulence, the above Runes will result in the items listed being crafted. Players can fine tune their weapons and armor using Slot 2 and Slot 3, which gives them a level of control as to what drops for them. There’s still going to be some randomness to the perks, but this is a step in the right direction.
