A Days Gone Photo Mode was a near certainty when the title was announced as a PS4 exclusive. What is unique, however, is that it has a surprising bit of depth to it, giving gamers both basic and advanced options to customize their creations. In this guide, I’ll go over how to access this mode, as well as the options available once gamers are in.
Access the Days Gone Photo Mode by pressing the Options button on the PlayStation 4’s DualShock 4 controller. From there, select Photo Mode. This will bring up the standard menu with a plethora of choices.
It’s when players start using L1 and R1 to cycle through the options for Camera, Lens, Frames and Presets that things get wild. The options are extensive and allow for things like toggling Deacon’s visibility or the visibility of his bike. There are options to change Deacons facial expression, add logos, or alter the field of view (FOV). These menus can be navigated by using the D-Pad once R1/L1 have been used to select a set of options.
When players press the X button on their DualShock 4 controllers they will get the Days Gone Photo Mode advanced options, which are even more extensive in how a photo can be customized. These include Color Grading, Depth Color Grading, and Bloom. These options are far too advanced for my basic creative abilities, but they will undoubtedly prove valuable to the larger player base.
