Fallout 76 Power Edition owners issued 500 Atoms for bag fiasco

There's been a lot of angst over Fallout 76 since its release. There have been a lot of complaints that the game is broken. And not just "Bethesda broken," either. Complaints have ranged from the game being glitchy to flat-out unplayable. So those who picked up the $200 Power Armor edition might already be feeling some buyer's remorse. Unfortunately, it gets worse. Power Armor edition are now issuing grievances over the poor-quality duffel bag included in the package and Bethesda's solution isn't proving to be much comfort.

To put things in perspective, Bethesda touted the $200 Power Armor edition of Fallout 76 with the promise of the full game (which is already pretty bad on its own) and a slew of collectible goodies, with the duffel bag among them. Players were promised a West Tek canvas bag and instead received... well... let's look at this picture, courtesy of our own Sam Chandler.

Yeah, that's not a high-end West Tek canvas bag. That's a low-end nylon sack. So that's awful, but let's go back to the Bethesda response to this developing debacle. Even on paper, 500 Atoms doesn't seem to be much consolation for what dissatisfied users are calling a bait-and-switch. For one thing, as noted in our Fallout 76 guide, 500 Atoms is only valued at $7.95. That's not much and, as it turns out, 500 Atoms won't buy much, either.

When it rains, it pours in the world of Fallout. Maybe that rain can maintain those flowers that Power Edition owners are buying with their 500 Atoms.
