YouTube Nintendo Switch app might be on the eShop soon

Looking to watch videos on your Nintendo Switch? Right now, you're relegated to Hulu. But it looks like soon you might be able to pull up your favorite YouTubers at long last.

Rumors have been swirling around the potential release of an official YouTube app for the console for some time, but now it finally looks like there may be truth to them after all. ResetEra forum member have been seeing suggestions for a YouTube app when they've searched on Nintendo's website for games. There is no product page or results just yet, but many believe the console could be finally ready to welcome the service.

This would be a big step up for the system, especially since it had no streaming apps whatsoever when it originally launched last year in March 2017. While Japanese users have access to the Japan-only site Niconico, YouTube has been nothing but a far-off dream for some time now. If what users have been reporting is any indication, however, we could be gorging on some delicious YouTube videos very soon.
