Fortnite fans set a Guiness World Record for Most Participants in a Video Game Emote Routine

Fortnite mania is sweeping the world, and the Epic Games' juggernaut is having its presence felt at two different gaming events this weekend with TwitchCon and Paris Games Week happening simultaneously. Not to be outdone by TwitchCon 2018, Fortnite fans in France assembled to set a new Guiness World Record for Most Participants in a Video Game Emote Routine. That's right, a world record for a group recreation of emotes from Fortnite. Please take a look.

Fortnite has catapulted Epic Games to a $15 billion valuation, and continues to dominate Twitch. Emotes have been a driving force for microtransaction sales as Fortnite: Battle Royale is free. Epic Games has been updating the Fortnite Item Shop regularly to keep the game feeling fresh while lining their pockets with sweet V-Bucks.

Today's fun event at Paris Games Week shows that emotes and Fortnite are not going anywhere any time soon, so we can only hope that another group of fans will assemble to take the Guiness World Record back from France. All we need are more than 383 Cuddle Team Leaders to set a new ridiculous record.
