At first glance, Devlover Digital’s new survival multiplayer game SCUM looks an awful lot like Day Z and Rust. Upon closer inspection, you’ll find an experience that draws inspiration from the likes of The Running Man and Eve: Online to present a fresh take on a crowded genre. A joint-developed effort from Gamespires and Croteam (of Serious Sam and Talos Principle fame), SCUM hopes to ascend the mountain of survival games and become king of the hill.
On today’s episode of Happy Hour, The Wolf slips into a comfortable prison jumper and tries out his luck on a literal murder island with other desperate inmates. Expect lots of wandering, rudimentary tool crafting, and a little bit of poop. The fun kicks off at 6:30 PM ET (3:30 PM PT) on the official Shacknews Twitch Channel.
