QuakeCon 2018: Elder Scrolls: Legends Isle of Madness story expansion announced

Published , by Kevin Tucker

Amid a slew of other high-profile announcements during today's QuakeCon 2018 keynote speech, a little nugget of good news dropped for fans of computer card games: an all-new story-based expansion for The Elder Scrolls: Legends called the Isle of Madness.

Details are really quite slim at the moment, but it would be hard for Elder Scrolls fans miss the expansion's clear references to the Daedric Prince Sheogorath and his often outrageous whims. Some players theorize that the new story battles and challenges will share elements with the game's Chaos Arena, where players face off in bouts with wild rules dictated by the crazed god.

We can't say for sure that such will be the case, but we can assume that, like past story expansions, the Isle of Madness expansion will come in three parts that players can buy for in-game gold (generally 1,000 gold per chapter) or a lump sum of real-world cash. It's also unknown whether or not the expansion will offer up new cards, though it's possible that it will at least include a small number of new cards, as the previous Return to Clockwork City story expansion did.
