The classic Zone of the Enders is set to return, with Konami restoring the game from the ground-up for PlayStation VR.

Hideo Kojima says that the new Zone of the Enders project announced last year has been shelved, and the team disbanded, after poor quality of the HD remaster disappointed fans.

Coming to PS3 and Xbox 360 on October 30th, the LE includes the game (and Metal Gear Rising demo), an import soundtrack featuring remixes of the music from the series, and a 100 page art book featuring new work from Yoji Shinkawa.

Zone of the Enders HD Collection will be available on Xbox 360 and PS3 on October 30th.

The symbiotic relationship between Metal Gear and Zone of the Enders continues. The HD collection will include a demo for Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance.

Kojima Productions has revealed that it's working on a new Zone of the Enders project, though it's currently only in an early prototyping stage.

The Zone of the Enders HD will be available on PS3 and Xbox 360 this Fall.

While it may not have the same recognition as Metal Gear Solid, Hideo Kojima's Zone of the Enders series has a passionate following. While Kojima wants to make a sequel, he says that "we don't have the staff available to work on that game."
