Girl Fight trailer shows girls fighting

If you'd feel a little silly playing a video game that is ostensibly about sexy girls in sexy costumes fighting each other, relax: Girl Fight all goes down in virtual reality as an evil corporation experiments upon abducted women. Look, come watch the new trailer and you'll soon realise you'd be perfectly comfortable playing it in the company of other adults (it is rated Mature 17+, after all).

State of Decay declared 'fastest selling original game ever' on XBLA

The open-world zombie 'em up passed 500,000 sales within its first week, publisher Microsoft Studios has announced, declaring it "the fastest selling original game ever on Xbox Live Arcade." What now? Undead Labs is still working on patches, apparently doesn't have too much to do on the PC edition, and is making a sandbox mode. Beyond that, well, there's still its dream of a full-on zombie MMO, codenamed 'Class4'.

State of Decay first title update not working

The promised first update for open-world survive 'em up State of Decay went live over the weekend, or so it seemed. Unfortunately, the fixes it was supposed to bring were clearly not in effect, and after a bit of checking developer Undead Labs has confirmed that "the update was being downloaded, but not applied." It's working on getting this working, but can say when that might be.

State of Decay update coming as sales pass 250k; PC version won't be 'soon'

Just when everyone seemed bored stiff of zombies, State of Decay launched last week to shake a little life into the genre. That sentence contained two jokes. The open-world zombie 'em up sold a whopping 250,000 copies in its first two days on sale, developer Undead Labs announced, also revealing that an XBLA title update is in the pipe. Alas, it also says the PC version won't be coming soon "by any meaningful use of the word 'soon'."

State of Decay shambling onto Xbox 360 tomorrow

Open-world zombie survive 'em up State of Decay will debut on Xbox 360 this Wednesday, developer Undead Labs has announced at short notice. It'll cost 1600 Microsoft Points ($15) on Xbox Live Arcade but, alas, there's still no word on when the PC version will arrive.

Contrast casts shadows on vaudevillian Paris

It was a murky world, the Parisian nightlife of the 1920s, but sometimes a little shadow can be useful when you're an 8-year-old girl's glamorous imaginary friend. Publisher Focus Home Interactive today announced it's picked up Contrast, a puzzle-platformer where you can shift into shadow to pass obstacles in the unreal world.

CastleStorm assaulting XBLA next week

Building forts is cool and smashing them is perhaps even better, so CastleStorm is certainly interesting in concept. It'll be storming Xbox Live Arcade next Wednesday, developer Zen Studios--of Pinball FX2 fame--announced today, for you to build and defend the fort of your dreams while destroying other people's.

Call of Juarez: Gunslinger saddles up on May 22

"Wanna be a gunslinger," sang pop star M in his 1979 single Pop Muzik, "don't be a rock singer." Any attempt to tie that into this story would be too contrived and, frankly, too daft. Techland's wild wild west 'em up Call of Juarez: Gunslinger will launch for at $14.99, publisher Ubisoft announced today. It's coming for download on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, while PC gets a retail edition too.
