"Turns out we aren't as good at selling games as we thought!" Dutch studio Two Tribes has earnestly stated, boldly declaring "It's time for a radical change!" The developer behind games including Toki Tori and Edge has laid off all but two members--its two co-founders--and is looking at ways to make games which won't send it out of business.

The cubist platformer Edge will hit the 3DS on December 26 for $1.99.

Toki Tori 2+ will be launching on July 11, rather than July 2 as originally planned.

You may not have known it, but the Toki Tori you might have picked up in a Humble Bundle was actually a remake of a Game Boy Color game from 2001. Developer Two Tribes debuted the actual sequel Toki Tori 2 on Wii U in April, but it seems PC will--quite rightly, hrumph hrumph--receive the definitive version. Dubbed Toki Tori 2+, it's arriving July 2 with a level editor, extra puzzles, and more.

You'll be forgiven if the name Toki Tori doesn't ring any bells. Developer Two Tribes is hoping to reach an even larger audience with Toki Tori 2, an adorable puzzle platformer for PC, Mac, and Wii U.

Toki Tori has bounced around from platform to platform in the decade following its release on Game Boy Color in 2001, and now it's finally getting a sequel. Toki Tori 2 will first be released on Steam and Mac in spring 2012.

Toki Tori is being ported to the PlayStation Network with updated visuals and Move support, but it may be a European-only release.
