TRUMP'S NUCLEAR DOCUMENTS WERE MIXED WITH POST-PRESIDENTIAL PRESS CLIPPINGS

    https://www.emptywheel.net/2024/04/23/trumps-nuclear-documents-were-mixed-with-post-presidential-press-clippings/

As I fanned through the pile of newspapers at the top of the first box, I found several unfoldered classified docs in between some of the newspapers. So I took all the boxes to the SCIF. The first box I picked up in the SCIF had a newspaper on top that was post 1/20/2021.

This is from yesterday but it didn't get enough love. It's amazing that they left newspaper articles from after he was president, probably the only possible way to prove someone was looking through them after he left office. lmao

Our home insurance tells us they offer a discount if we have a home alarm.

My wife gets a quote from an alarm company. $50 month. 3 year contract.

Insurance discount: $50 for the year.

Anyone else struggle with food ordering anxiety??

Imgur won't even upload the monstrosity I forced the poor lady to create while panic-ordering :(

(This is probably why I find Overcooked insanely stressful.)

Literally co op Untiled Goose Game. I'd chase em away with a broom if I wasn't so sure that they'd lock me in the garage. Guess they can stay as long as they don't start ringing bells and stuff.

    Phantom Fury

    Current MetaCritic Score: 67
    https://www.metacritic.com/game/phantom-fury/

Continuing my playthrough today and just about to get on the train (part of which formed the disastrous demo from last year). I kind of want to revisit the demo to see specifically how it has changed, but at the same time I kind of never want to see that demo again. It was rough, man.

Really interested in seeing what their patch / support plans are for the game. There's some obvious polish that's missing (AOE attacks from the enemies can travel through walls) while other issues are fundamental problems in the design (such as level flow and signposting). One gated progression mechanic I don't really enjoy is encountering a locked door, then needing to go around to a window of the room to shoot the lock off. The idea of it is fine, but the locks themselves don't stand out enough and can be a bit far from the window, so it's easy to waste a ton of time looking for other ways in before realizing that mess of brown pixels needs to be blasted.

I took a peek at the Steam reviews and pretty much all of the ones I saw focused on nitpicking the first level and then announcing that they were getting a refund. Things like how you interact with the ladders, the audio quality of Shelly's voice, the storyline, etc. Honestly, I think that's just some weak ass grasping at straws and ignores the problems the game actually has. It's one of those weak 7/10s for me that I think might wind up a strong 6/10 when all is said and done. I love that they angled for a 12-15hr campaign, but I really wish they'd cut it down a bit and focused on polishing what they had more. Half Life is 6-8hrs, from crying out loud.

Also, I kind of hate the checkpoint system since it means I can't just save and quit, so I've been exclusively playing on the Steam Deck just for the ability to suspend the game when I need to tend to real life. I have little hope or expectations of them correcting that in a patch, but it has happened before (like when the save system was fixed in Alien vs Predator).

Finally, I think this is the first game I've played with a 240p Test Suite reference in it and I appreciate that

    Firefox is pretty good!
I started using firefox more after seeing lots of post about. I must say I am impressed with the basic features and clean interface.
    Thanks for the recommendation!

Good article covering how GM drivers found their driving patterns were being populated in Lexus Nexus and thus available to insurance companies, despite not signing up for OnStar. GM claims their was a bug that affected a "small" number of buyers
