Resident Evil trailer celebrates fifteen years of history

It's been fifteen years since the Resident Evil series first began giving gamers chills, when the first game launched on U.S. soil in 1996. Since then, the series has jumped to multiple platforms, introduced us to a wide variety of characters, and remained adamant that the best aim came from planting your feet firmly on the ground.

Capcom celebrated its longstanding series--first envisioned by game director Shinji Mikami--by releasing a trailer featuring clips over the long journey. Included in the trailer are short glimpses of the upcoming HD re-releases of Resident Evil Code: Veronica X and Resident Evil 4, as well as new footage of the Slant Six-developed side story, Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City. Famitsu Spills Details About Two Upcoming Resident Evil Titles for 3DS

Japanese industry magazine Famitsu has spilled some fresh details about the upcoming 3DS title, Resident Evil:: Revelations, as well as a progress report on the 3DS-due Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D (via two reports translated by andriasang).

Resident Evil: Revelations Trailer Teases Revelation

Wise not to reveal the revelations of Resident Evil: Revelations in the very first trailer for its Nintendo 3DS title, developer and publisher Capcom cruelly teases that whatever Chris and Jill do, "It doesn't matter because you're already..." before cutting off.

There's no word on when Resident Evil: Revelations will be released, though the Nintendo 3DS itself is due to arrive some time before the end of March 2011. Capcom is also contributing Super Street Fighter IV 3D--not the final name--to the really quite impressive 3DS lineup. Read more »
