MLB 14: The Show and NBA 2K14 bundled on PS3, offers $10 savings

If you like sports, chances are you enjoy more than one of them. That's why we don't say "sport" in singular terms like they do in regions where they only like cricket or "futbol." As a result, there is probably some crossover between fans of basketball and baseball, and Sony and 2K are counting on that for a bundle they've produced that crosses the sporting streams.

Weekend Confirmed 195 - The VGX awards, Gran Turismo 6

With only 12 days left until Christmas, it's time for Weekend Confirmed! Hosts Garnett Lee and Jeff Cannata welcome in Shacknews' Ozzie Mejia and "Indie" Jeff Mattas to take a look back at last Saturday's VGX awards. After briefly looking at the show, in general, the topic turns to the many games that were on display, including Titanfall, No Man's Sky, Quantum Break, and Tales from the Borderlands. With the VGX in the books, it's time to focus on more microtransaction controversy, this time, as it relates to NBA 2K14. Then it's time to talk more games, with Garnett and Jeff sharing their respective knowledge to one another: Garnett teaches Jeff the intricacies of driving in Gran Turismo 6, while Jeff tells Garnett everything that he's doing wrong in Rogue Legacy. The show wraps up with a look back at Splinter Cell: Blacklist, Tearaway, Dead Rising 3, and more before concluding the week with new Finishing Moves and the post-show Tailgate.

NBA 2K14 next-gen video focuses on 'Eco-Motion'

NBA 2K14 next-gen video focuses on 'Eco-Motion'

NBA 2K14 is arguably one of the best-looking games available at launch. 2K Sports has released a new five minute video focusing on its "Eco-Motion Engine."

"Gone are the days of pre-canned animations that must play out exactly as they were mocapped. Now, players adjust their movements based on the environment around them. Jumpshots will change midair, dribble moves will alter in between dribbles, and players will land in a unique way following every thunderous dunk or block. No two animations will ever appear exactly the same," 2K Games community manager Ronnie Singh wrote on the PlayStation.Blog.
