inFamous Release Redated, Demo Date Revealed

The release of Sucker Punch's super-powered open-world game inFamous has been bumped up from a vague June timeframe to a concrete date of May 26.

Publisher Sony also announced that pre-ordering grants you early access to the inFamous demo on May 7. Those who would prefer to play the demo before ordering the full game will be able to download it through the PlayStation Network on May 21.

Two new, not-quite-full-resolution screenshots of inFamous have been released by publisher Sony, providing us with a better look at the game's trash monster. There's actually a dude inside of it, which I guess makes it some some sort of trashy robot?

Ghostbusters Screenshots Show Off Wii, DS Editions

Another blast of Ghostbusters media has emerged from publisher Atari, this time showcasing the Wii and Nintendo DS versions developed by Red Fly Studios.

The ghoul-hunting game hits on June 16, alongside the Blu-ray release of the first film. While Red Fly handled the PS2, Wii and Nintendo DS editions, Terminal Reality was tasked with the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions. Read more »

Threewave Developing Ghostbusters Multiplayer

Shacknews has learned that developer Threewave Software is building the multiplayer component for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of Terminal Reality's Ghostbusters.

"At Threewave we're working on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of multiplayer," said Threewave product manager Stephane Morichere-Matte.

inFamous Screenshots Get Trashy

Developer Sucker Punch presents these new screenshots from the upcoming open world title inFamous. This one stars Cole McGrath, a bike messenger that is suddenly imbued with the powers of electricity, which he then uses to fight a dude made of trash. Ah, videogames.

Atari Confirms Ghostbusters Release Date

It was only a matter of time after Sony Pictures spilled the beans, as Ghostbuters publisher Atari today confirmed that the action game hits North America on June 16.
