Look, I know what you're gonna say, "Blake, you live in the San Franciso bay area. You could throw a rock and hit a good Taqueria." And yes, you're right. I know this better than most of you and believe me, I am grateful for such a plethora of options for some tasty Al Pastor on a little corn tortilla with some cilantro and salsa. But here's the thing, sometimes I just want Taco Bell.
It's the same as it would be with any other craving. Something in your head just tells your body you want it and there you go. Sure, you could wait for it to pass and get something else, but you don't always have to, so why should you this time? At least that's what I told myself when I asked my friend to bring over a Taco Party Pack tonight.
I think most people just feel that because other tacos are made with better ingredients and are fresher that would always be my go-to. But that's like saying you're going to eat a fancy steak every night and never just pick up a burger at McD's on the way home because you're tired and don't want to cook. If that's you, I respect that and you're welcome to take me out for fancy steaks whenever you like. But, let's be real, just about all of us who eat meat have a Big Mac every once and a while and there's no need to be ashamed about it. Let your meat flag fly free with a cheeseburger happy meal and toy!
Anywho, Imma go eat some crunchy, beefy little Taco Bell tacos and probably run for the border at some point tonight (In this case the border is my toilet).
