Here's When You Can Play Dark Souls 3: The Ringed City DLC

Sharpen your sword, Ashen Ones. The final Dark Souls 3 DLC releases on Steam today and on consoles tomorrow, March 28.

Dark Souls 3: The Ringed City DLC expansion unlocks on Steam at 6 p.m. ET today, and will be available on PS4 and Xbox One at midnight tomorrow, March 28.

The Ringed City marks the final expansion for Dark Souls 3. Like its predecessor, Ashes of Ariandel, it promises new environments to explore, items to covet, bosses to kill, and souls to claim. FromSoftware and Bandai Namco are promoting the DLC as "late-game content," whereas Ashes of Ariandel opened up approximately one-third of the way through Dark Souls 3.

You can buy each expansion separately, or as part of Dark Souls 3's season pass. No preload is available, although the expansion weighs in at only a few gigs according to my install size. If you want to find out how and where to access the Ringed City, check out our guide for gaining admittance.

Steam is only pulling down 1.5GB for the DLCs here, but there was a 7.7GB mandatory patch a few days ago, most of which is probably for The Ringed City.

The patch made lots of changes throughout the game. Sit at a bonfire and look through your fast-travel points. Embers show how active an area is, for instance.

Cool, I'll check it out once it's all good to go (waited for this DLC before playing the first one as well).

It's now downloading another 2.9GB, which is definitely for The Ringed City according to what's shown as currently installed via Steam.

Its not that difficult though, if youre familiar enough with the series from DS` then you should be competent enough now. Maybe try going at the bosses with summons?

Im glad they havnt touched the difficulty. Even raised it some for the end boss in ariandel.
