Battlefield 1 players who have the Season Pass have anxiously been awaiting the first planned DLC, They Shall Not Pass, which focuses on the French and its contributions during WWI. Unfortunately, players had no idea what else they would be getting with the pass. Well, good news, everyone: The three other DLC packs have been revealed.

The other expansions include::

  • In the Name of the Tsar: The focus will be on the Russian Army. "Ride in Galicia with the legendary Hussars during the Brusilov offensive. Partake in the skirmishes of the Albion assault in a freezing archipelago and fight in the snow covered ravines of the treacherous Lupkow Pass."
  • Turning Tides: Amphibious warfare. "Embark with the new destroyer into intense tactical naval clashes. Master the coastal class airship in the fierce interplay between land, air and sea. Engage in the daredevil Zeebrugge raid and storm the beaches in the first days of the Gallipoli offensive."
  • Apocalypse: The most infamous battles. "Conquer bitterly contested ground with brutal tools and unique weapons born out of desperation and deadlock. Never before have the nightmarish horrors of the Great War been closer as you descend into hell. Prepare to enter the Apocalypse."

Overall, the expansions contain 16 new multiplayer maps, 20 new weapons, and new elite classes. Additionally, Battlefield 1 Premium Pass members will get two-week early access to each unreleased expansion pack, plus 14 Superior Battlepacks, and priority sever access.

In addition, EA announced a free trial for PC and Xbox One players coming up March 3-5.  Xbox Live Gold members will get unlimited play time with access to all multiplayer and single-player offerings. Origin for PC players will get 10 hours of play time with the full multiplayer experience on two maps, and the first two single-player War Stories of the games acclaimed single player. Progress will carry over if you purchase the full game.

Earlier this month, DICE released a rather large update for the game that added ribbons and increased the max rank for the various classes. PC players will also be getting test servers where they will be able to try the new content before it goes live.

I played BF1 for a few hours last night. It's still fun but not without it's frustrations, mostly getting into a damn operations game! Either the graphics are all fucked and I have to restart the game or it puts me into the very end of a match that then takes another some odd minutes to load, go through the motions, yadda yadda, it's been 10 minutes already and I'm still not in a game!

Graphics all fucked? You running SLI or something?

If you want to make absolutely sure you get into an operations match quickly, just pick it under "Quick Match". You won't have a choice about which map set you play on though.

I'm still having a ton of fun with it. The bolt action and semi auto rifles feel fantastic. Finding a good place to bipod your LMG is fun as shit. Flying planes is fun as shit. Tanks are super fun when you have a team that knows how to take advantage of them.

I'm playing on an Xbox and I've searched to see if others have had the issue and it appears its quite common with no fix in sight.

DICE LA recently started up the Community Test Environment for BF1. So they'll be actively testing balance and technical changes with the game on a weekly basis for the foreseeable future. This worked really well for BF4 and turned into a great game.

XBOX Vid Fix: when you get the video errors (black screen, or green fuzzy static, maybe others? ) go into your video options and change your weapon DoF ( or DOV I forget ) option. Back out so that it saves and then go back and re-enable it if you want and it should work properly.

This may work for PS4 and PC but I don't know and don't have one to try.

For some reason I've been getting placed on a lot of loser teams just before the operation ends. I imagine this is partly why my win % sucks so badly. Also I'm terrible at the game.

I have a 63% win ratio, but I think that's mainly because I play lots of Domination and most people are bad at that mode. I also immediately hop into the squad that most seems to know WTF it's doing.

Also should mention I've been playing betas of the upcoming maps through the CTE, and Fort de Vaux and Rupture are both really good. Fort de Vaux is especially neat because it's super close quarters like Locker and Metro, but not nearly as choke-pointy. Tons of alternate routs to break out and get a flank going.

Yup I think I'm going to myself. Despite some technical issues BF is still immensely fun.
Hey, kodiak, I got my net situation with my Xbox resolved so next time you want to play lemme know! Only thing is I need to buy a new headset, for whatever reason my current mic doesn't work.
