Diablo 3 Patch 1.17 dropped for the PlayStation 4 version of the game sometime this morning. The new patch brought fixes for the crashing issues that have been affecting PlayStation 4 players of Diablo 3 since Patch 2.4.3.

Patch 1.17 is 1.2 GB in size and was hoped by PlayStation 4 Diablo 3 players to be bringing the framework for the new Seasons competitive play system. However, it seems the patch just fixed the specific issues the PlayStation 4 platform was facing with crashes and nothing else.

Considering the Diablo 3 Anniversary Event Patch just released January 4, maybe it was a bit much for players to get their hopes up for another significant update. Hopefully in the next month or so we'll get more info on the implementation of Season in the PlayStation 4 version of Diablo 3.
