Injustice 2 is the upcoming follow-up to the successful Ed Boon fighting game Injustice: Gods Among Us. Starting this week, the closed beta of Injustice 2 will be available with four characters available to try. How to sign up for the Injustice 2 beta is a bit tricky. Right now the beta sign-ups have closed, and NetherRealm Studios hasn't said whether they'd reopen or not.

How to Get Into the Injustice 2 Beta

If you were one of the fortunate players to already sign up for the Injustice 2 beta, you should get to play it sometime this week. The closed beta codes are coming out in waves, and right now people in the first wave have already gotten an opportunity to begin downloading it.

It's unknown how many waves of codes are being sent out, so if you signed up for the Injustice 2 beta just keep checking your inbox for a chance to play on Xbox One or PlayStation 4. Additionally, the beta is limited to North America, and the only available language will be English, so those who applied outside of the North American region will not qualify to receive a code.

What to Expect in the Injustice 2 Beta

There will be four characters available to play in the Injustice 2 Beta. Atrocitus, Batman, Supergirl, and Superman, will make up the initial roster in the beta. The Injustice 2 Beta is focused on multiplayer and players will be limited to 1v1 online play. Whether or not additional content will be added to the beta later is unknown at this time.

Unfortunately, the single-player story mode for Injustice 2 will not be available during the beta. Additionally, none of the nine DLC characters will be available to try. So far the complete roster for Injustice 2 is Batman, Blue Beetle, Flash, Harley Quinn, Superman, Supergirl, Wonder Woman, Deadshot, Gorilla Grodd, Aquaman, Atrocitus, and Robin, with the first of the nine DLC characters being Darkseid. The official Injustice 2 website shows space for 19 more character portraits on in the character section, so who knows who may end up on the final roster.

You can get your hands on the full version of Injustice 2 on May 16 on Xbox and PlayStation 4.
